Pathways to Peace Foundation The events of 9/11 inspired Brenda Rosenberg to create Pathways To Peace Foundation in 2002. Prior to 9/11 Brenda was the first female Vice President of Fashion for Hudson’s Department Stores in Michigan (now Macy’s) and held one of the most influential global fashion positions: Senior Vice President of Fashion Marketing and Merchandising for Federated Allied Department Stores, responsible for predicting, implementing, and marketing trends for women's, mens and children's fashions and the home; furniture, decorative accessories, and bed and bath. Brenda re-directed her creativity, energy, marketing and merchandizing skills to help heal the pains of old and new prejudices and misconceptions between cultures and religions. Since then, Brenda has build bridges of understanding and created ground breaking partnerships and programs: the multi media educational project Reuniting the Children of Abraham ...a tool kit for peace”,  the book she inspired and co authored with 30 women from 7 faith groups Friendship & Faith the WISDOM of women creating alliances for peace, the Tectonic Leadership Center for Conflict Transformation and Cross Cultural Communication created with Samia Bahsoun. Her reconciliation efforts have been featured as  network special on both CBS and Bridges T.V. In 2002 she was the first Jewish woman to deliver a Ramadan sermon at a mosque in the USA. Hate 2 Hope - Program for Law Enforcement and Community
Hate 2 Hope Harnessing the power of tension between law enforcement and community in 10 weeks. Brenda Rosenberg created Hate 2 Hope, choosing dialogue over destruction. She saw a need to lift our communities from the quicksand of miscommunication and judgment. She wanted to create a new discourse and demonstrate how it is possible to create positive change.   In just ten weeks Hate 2 Hope: Creates change by building a new level of understanding and taking joint ownership in transforming relationships. Develops and implements cooperative actions that benefit both law enforcement and communities. Deconstructs the negative images of both law enforcement and disenfranchised members of the community. Diminishes the fear of compromise, by replacing the idea of loss with the possibility of creating something new together that has not been done before. Finding new solutions together. >>> read more
